The small town of Benamargosa lies 12 kilometres from Vélez Málaga and
46 kilometres from Málaga on an area just 100 metres above sea level. The population is around 2,000 and the town benefits from a 24hour emergency medical centre, municple swimming pool, several banks, schools, supermarkets,post office,chemist and a number of bars and restaurants. The main produce of the area are citrus fruits, olives and sub tropical fruits such as avacados and mangos.
