Iznate stands at a height of 311 metres just 10 kilometres from the sea at Valle Niza, near to Torre del Mar. The village has a population of just 800 inhabitants with all the usual facilities. The steep narrow streets of Iznate reflect the original Moorish layout of the village. The Town Hall and Parish Church of San Gregorio V11 are in the Plaza de la Virgen. Malaga airport is just a thirty minute drive away from Iznate.
